Soft sticky rice is gently infused with rich coconut milk, then paired with juicy ripe mangoes for a refreshing finish. It’s a classic Thai recipe that’s light, fragrant, and absolutely irresistible.
Sticky rice | 250g (1 pack) |
Coconut Milk | 200ml (1 pouch) |
Coconut milk | 400ml |
Coconut sugar | 70g |
Mangoes | 1 to 3 pieces |
Cook the Sticky Rice
Rinse sticky rice in cold water to remove excess starch.
Place in a pan and boil in 250ml of water for 20 minutes.
Prepare the Coconut Sauce
In a saucepan, gently warm the coconut milk and add 70g of coconut sugar.
Stir until dissolved, then remove from heat.
Combine Rice and Coconut Milk
Transfer the cooked sticky rice to a bowl.
Gradually pour most of the warm coconut sauce over the rice, mixing until well absorbed.
Cover and let it rest for 20 minutes.
Serve with Mango
Peel and slice the ripe mangoes.
Plate the sticky rice, drizzle with the remaining coconut sauce, and serve alongside the mango slices.
